Buying Cheap Golf Equipment – Your Options

So you want to buy yourself some cheap golf equipment…and you want to do it cheap. “What are my options?”, I hear you say.

Well thanks to the Internet there are now more choices than ever before. There are a wide range of websites that are all working overtime to get your business and they are willing to offer you some pretty sweet discounts to get it. Add to this the massive golfing mega-stores, and you have yourself plenty of great places to land yourself a deal.

The first decision you need to make when you are looking for some cheap golf clubs is whether or not you want to buy new clubs, or are you willing to consider both new and used. There’s nothing wrong with only wanting new equipment, it just narrows your choices down a little bit.

I’m going to start off by talking about all the options you have for finding cheap deals on new golf equipment.

If it’s cheap used golf equipment you’re after, I’ve got you covered there too – click here to now to find the info you need.

Let’s get started…

In this post I’ll start off by listing all the options that you have – and there are a few. Then in further posts I’ll elaborate on each of these a little more, and offer up some tips and strategies that can help you save some money at each of the different types of retailer.

New Golf Equipment Manufacturers

When it comes to buying new golf equipment there are basically three options

  • Brand Name Equipment

Big Name Brands – You know the brands I’m talking about – the ones who do all the advertizing and charge the highest prices.

Lesser Known Brand Equipment – One option to consider are lesser known brands who don’t charge quite as much but still make excellent equipment

I’m going to look at some of the ways you can get the cheapest possible deal on some of the golf equipment of some of these brand name manufacturers

  • Component Manufacturers

Custom fit golf equipment for a fraction of the cost of the big boys. Need I say more…? I’ll give you loads of resources on how to go about saving yourself bucket loads of cash by buying golf equipment from the reputable component manufacturers.

  • Clone & Knock-Off Manufacturers

It looks like a Ping/(insert any brand name here), feels (kind of) like a Ping, but doesn’t hurt the wallet like a Ping.

There is much confusion and debate about the clone/knock-off…in fact there are few topics that so heavily divide golfers and cause so many arguments. I’m going to help clear the air and provide you with a specific set of criteria you should use when trying to decide whether or not to buy a set of clones.

Where To From Here?

In the next post I’ll take a look at the brand name golf equipment market, and give you a few specific places you can get cheap deals, as well as some other useful strategies.
