Over the past few months it seems that there has been no news but bad news when it comes to the golf industry. So I thought today I’d try and find some light in the shadows, so to speak.
I’m a big believer in opportunities being available no matter what the situation…you just need to be a little bit creative and sometimes being in the right place at the right time helps as well.
So while golf equipment sales, golf memberships and green fees are down, people still want to play golf and buy golf clubs. They just want to do it for a bit less.
And this is where an opportunity arises for a company that has a business model that focuses on delivering quality, affordable/cheap golf equipment. A business model that doesn’t involves spending tens of millions on sponsorship and advertising.
I’ve included links to a couple of articles below about two companies that are expanding at the moment, rather than shutting down. An interesting concept in today’s market wouldn’t you say?

Component Golf Clubs Are Definitely A Good Option
Hireko are an excellent manufacturer and are highly recommended as a good place to start when dipping your toe into the custom fit component golf club market. The fact that they are expanding their operations, with an eye to further spreading their reach across Europe is a good indication that they have a quality product which is selling well.
If you’d like to know more about the component golf club market stay tuned…I will be covering it in more detail in the near future.
